We had to say good bye to Sa yesterday. He's off to Japan for 2-3 weeks. I'm not sure exactly what he'll be doing, but he said something about re-imaging 3000 computers for the army. The kids and I were SO sad. You would think that after 4 years of college ball and all his road trips, we would be used to it! It's all my kids have ever known is daddy traveling, but it's still so hard on them. They cried almost the entire hour long ride home. We can't call him on this trip since his cell phone doesn't work over there, so I think it will be harder on them than the last trip.

Luckily Deacon slept right through it all. He has the hardest time of all when Sa leaves.
I'm hoping that he will post on the blog while he's over there so that the kids can see what he's up to.

No fun! Where is Sa going in Japan? My mom & dad live about 20 miles from Tokyo at Camp Zama. Hopefully Sa will have some time to try some sushi if he hasn't before! So good. I spent last summer with the girls in Japan. Eric was doing a summer program in Austria so my parents' flew us out.
If he's going to have internet -- maybe you guys could arrange to talk over Skype? That's what we've done in the past and it really helped the girls. They were able to talk to him almost every day.
What team did Sa play football for?

Aww Molly so sad that Sa's away again. Hopefully you guys will be able to set up some communication especially for the children. You definitely need your own computer.
I am so sad for you guys. Brooklyns tears are heart wrenching, but her eyes are just so beautiful. I miss you guys. I second the Skype. Benson has called us on that. Good luck, lots of hugs!!!
I third the skype. even if you don't have your own computer, Sa can call your cell from his skype account for about 2 cents a minute. It really helped me and the kids when Steve was in China & Mongolia.
Molly! Do you remember us??? It's been a while but i found your blog and was so excited! these pictures of Sa saying goodbye to the kids are so sweet. Brooklyn was always such a daddy's girl. it's so cute seeing her cry for her daddy. so sweet. and Congrats on your number 5!!!! that's so exciting! And i also love the picture of brooklyn and Tasha Kai. She is HUGE! A gold medalist from Laie!!! can't get better than that. haha. love ya guys and hope all goes well. keep in touch! love ya!
Abby...you'll never believe it, but he's at Camp Zama!!! HAHAHA, how funny!!! He's staying at the base lodging. He just called today and said that they've asked him to extend another month...so he may not even be home until after Thanksgiving!
We have looked into the skype, but for the lodging, he has to buy a $5 internet card, that is only good for 24 hours...only 24 hours from the time you log in! crazy.

Molly, how crazy!! I'll have to let my parents know. And I bet they'd be thrilled to let him use Skype to call you guys! How fun! And what memories. I know exactly where he's staying. I can email you my parents phone number too if you want. I'm sure they could help with anything Sa might need.
